A resource of TRY 67 billion to Turkish economy from Ziraat Katılım

A resource of TRY 67 billion to Turkish economy from Ziraat Katılım

Metin Özdemir, General Manager of Ziraat Katılım, stated that the cash and non-cash financing provided by Ziraat Katılım to the Turkish economy in the second quarter of 2021 is TRY 67 billion.

Özdemir shared in his statement regarding the financial results of Ziraat Katılım for the second quarter of this year that the total assets of Ziraat Katılım reached TRY 67.4 billion in the second quarter of 2021 with an increase of 12 percent compared to the end of 2020, while the funds collected increased by 11 percent compared to the same period and reached TRY 51.7 percent.

Stating that the cash and non-cash financing provided by Ziraat Katılım to the Turkish economy in the second quarter of 2021 reached TRY 67 billion, while the cash financing provided increased by 12 percent to TRY 47.2 billion, Özdemir said, "Ziraat Katılım completed the second quarter of 2021 with a profit of TRY 187 million, as a result of its service approach that prioritizes customer satisfaction and the successful execution of its business cycle structured with a focus on efficiency. Extending its branch network throughout Turkey, Ziraat Katılım has reached a total of 110 branches, one of which is abroad, at the end of the second quarter of 2021."

Noting that 5 lease certificate issuances were successfully completed in the second quarter of 2021, Özdemir said:

"A funding of TRY 2.7 billion was obtained from these issuances that were realized through Ziraat Yatırım Menkul Değerler AŞ. A demand of more than the issuance amount was received from qualified investors for all lease certificate issuances. The first publicly-funded participation bank of Turkey, Ziraat Katılım has reached a total volume of TRY 30.4 billion through the issuance of 85 lease certificates to qualified investors since its foundation in 2015. Ziraat Katılım will continue its activities with the vision of being a pioneering and effective financial institution by contributing to the achievement of our country's goals through its business model that directly supports the real economy, its financing policy aimed at increasing production and employment, and the effort of its employees."
