Mehmet Necati Özdeniz, Deputy General Manager at Türkiye Finans Participation Bank, stated that a new era had begun in banking through remote customer application.

By means of the new legal regulation, we will be able to become a bank customer remotely, without going to the branch. How will we do that? Could you tell us?

First of all, this is a great revolution. What makes this revolutionary is that you can now participate in the financial system without going to the branch, signing a document, or being involved in any bureaucratic process. For this, you need three things. Namely, the new ID card, internet connection, and a smartphone.

By means of the combination of these three things, you can become a bank customer regardless of where you are in the world or in Turkey. You download the mobile banking application of Türkiye Finans or any bank, click on the button "become a customer", and then the process will guide you step by step.

Which channel do Türkiye Finans customers use the most? Is the habit of going to the branch as intense as it used to be, or are technology channels taking the lead now?

As Türkiye Finans, our digitalization journey started long before the communiqué on May 1. We moved the meeting points of our customers with the product to the digital environment. Our customers can buy and sell precious metals, foreign currency, sukuk, and in case they need a financing application, they can instantly apply for financing via mobile and conclude them within 6-7 minutes.

The pandemic period paved the way for people to remotely perform financial or non-financial transactions without leaving their homes or safe areas. We had to make the improvements, which we would otherwise have made in two years, in 6 months. We have realized a digital leap. This remote customer application was a long-standing topic. After the beginning of the pandemic, we have accelerated the process for our customers, especially our individual customers, in terms of accessing the branch, service, and money.
