CIO Award on Customer Acquisition Goes to Türkiye Finans!

Türkiye Finans has been entitled to receive an award in CIO Awards 2021 for the success it has achieved in the "Digital Verification and Video Conferencing and Mobile Customer Acquisition" project developed within the scope of its remote customer acquisition strategy.

The Bank eliminates the need for its customers to physically go to the branch with this project, making it possible to become a customer and perform banking transactions on mobile devices. Fully in compliance with the BRSA regulation, which is expected to enter into force on May 1, it removes all steps that require a wet signature in the customer acquisition process and supports secure customer acquisition through live video calls with the call center.

With the technological infrastructure of Türkiye Finans, the banking is not bound to place and time

With the project developed for the remote customer acquisition period, the Bank makes it possible to identify customers remotely and authenticate their identities by using optical character recognition (OCR) and near field communication (NFC) solutions, as well as enabling them to become customers on the mobile devices and perform banking transactions by eliminating the need to physically go to the branch.   Removing all procedures that require wet signatures, the Bank supports the secure customer acquisition process through live video calls with call center personnel. With this business model that changes the traditional structure of the banking industry and brings a brand new approach, Türkiye Finans aims to acquire customers through digital channels and provide banking services to its existing customers even in provinces and districts with no branches.

Fast and secure remote customer acquisition

Sharing his views on the subject, Fahri Öbek, Deputy General Manager for Information Systems and Operations in Türk Finans, said, “One of the most important privileges of 2021 is that the legal and technological infrastructure is ready for remote customer acquisition. This will be a development that will eliminate the need for customers to go to the branch, allowing banks to reach customers regardless of the number of branches and without being bound to place and time. As Türkiye Finans, we are ready to offer this service to our customers.
