Kuveyt Türk CEO Ufuk Uyan Explained the Digital Transformation Goals

Explaining the digital transformation goals in the upcoming period, Ufuk Uyan, CEO of Kuveyt Türk, stated that they would continue to develop new digital projects. Uyan said, "We will continue to develop digital projects by increasing the works in digitalizing the operational transactions in branches."

Indicating that Kuveyt Türk maintains its pioneering positions in the industry with the steps it has taken towards technology and innovation, Uyan stated that steps were taken on time by foreseeing the importance of digital transformation, and important projects have been implemented in this direction for the last 10 years. Uyan said, "We are successfully executing our roadmap that we have determined as of 2019 concerning digital transformation and have been working intensively in this regard since then, satisfying the changing customer expectations by closely following the digital developments and taking pioneering steps in this field. Our innovation strategy is to rank among the top 5 most innovative financial institutions in Turkey".

"Number of our digital customers has approached 2 million"

Stating that they have reached 1.8 million customers in the digital channels by the end of 2020, CEO Ufuk Uyan said, "As of April, the number of our digital customers has approached 2 million. In 2020, the majority of our customers performed 88% of their transactions through mobile banking channels. As of April, the rate of transactions performed through mobile banking channels has approached 90%. The usage rate of digital banking by our customers who open new accounts is around 85%".

Explaining that they are increasing the range of mobile products developed for commercial customers, individual customers, and SMEs day by day, Uyan stated that in addition to all these developments, mutual funds, stocks, foreign currency, gold, and silver products are now accessible on mobile phones via the TradePlus application. He also expressed that Kuveyt Türk supports the increase of financial literacy of children with products such as the Digital Explorer mobile application specially designed for children, and the complementary Digital Card, and Digital Account.

Stating that they will continue to develop digital projects in the future, Ufuk Uyan, CEO of Kuveyt Türk, emphasized that the works in digitizing operational transactions at the branches would also increase.
