CIO Award to Türkiye Finans Participation Bank
Türkiye Finans has been entitled to receive an award at the CIO Awards 2021 with its "Digital Verification and Video Conferencing and Mobile Customer Acquisition" project developed within the scope of its remote customer acquisition strategy.
Entitled to receive an award at the CIO Awards 2021 that was organized digitally by CXO Media and CIO Update on Tuesday, March 30, Türkiye Finans has achieved significant success in remote customer acquisition and digital banking by carrying its existing banking processes to an end-to-end digital environment. Among the 146 projects evaluated, Mustafa Bezeklioğlu, CIO of the Bank, has taken his place among the CIOs that were deemed worthy of the award with the Bank's project. CIOs, the managers of companies responsible for technology, crown their success with the "CIO Awards" organization that was held for the 12th time this year.
There is no need to physically go to the branch anymore
Developed for the remote customer acquisition period, the Digital Verification and Video Conferencing and Mobile Customer Acquisition project that enables customers to be recognized and authenticated remotely, and eliminates the need to physically go to the branch by use of optical character recognition (OCR) and near field communication (NFC) solutions makes it possible to become customers and perform banking transactions on mobile devices, eliminating the need to physically go to the branch.
Supporting the process of secure customer acquisition through live video calls to be made with the call center personnel, the project removes all procedures that require wet signatures. With the project that has changed the traditional structure of the banking industry and brought a brand-new approach, Türkiye Finans aims to acquire customers through digital channels even in provinces and districts with no branches and to offer banking services to existing customers.

Stating that the legal and technological infrastructure has been prepared for remote customer acquisition, which is one of the most important privileges of 2021, Fahri Öbek, Information Technology & Operations Executive Vice President at Türkiye Finans, shared his views on the project developed. Öbek said, "As Türkiye Finans, we are ready to provide a service that will eliminate the need of our customers to go to the branches and enable our banks to reach their customers regardless of the number of their branches and without being bound to place and time.
