SDG Turkey Investor Map Is Out!

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Turkey Investor Map, developed by the UNDP Turkey and Istanbul International Centre for Private Sector in Development in cooperation with the Investment Office of the Presidency of Turkey, has been published. The map aims to mobilise investments for the SDGs and accelerate Turkey's progress in achieving them.

Developed by the UNDP for different countries, SDG investment maps give detailed reports of the investment opportunities to facilitate access to global goals and conditions in target markets and sectors.

The map aims to guide investors

The SDG Turkey Investor Map aims to guide investors in mobilising their capital towards activities that provide robust financial income, reduce poverty and inequality, advance healthcare, education, and protect the environment. The Investor Map was introduced in the Policy Dialogue event of the 11th Bosporus Summit.

Investment opportunities towards achieving Global Goals are presented

The limited data and foresight on investment opportunities towards Global Goals really hinder the private sector's initiatives in this regard. And the SDG Investor Maps take the stage here and offer a catalogue of investment opportunities to the private sector, which can help them overcome these challenges and make effective and attentive business decisions towards achieving the Global Goals.

UNDP Turkey developed the SDG Turkey Investor Map in cooperation with the Investment Office of the Presidency of Turkey, and with the İstanbul International Centre for Private Sector in Development (IICPSD) as the technical service provider. The "SDG Turkey Investor Map" was prepared as a guide containing detailed investment information on 27 investment opportunity areas within the 9 prioritised sectors. The prioritised sectors for Turkey were determined as Technology and Communication, Transportation, Renewable and Alternative Energies, Education, Healthcare Services, Food and Beverages, Consumer Goods, Infrastructure and Financing.
