Enes Ergun became the new general manager of Borsa İstanbul in the Ordinary General Assembly. Sources revealed that after Hakan Atilla's resignation in today's ordinary general assembly meeting, Enes Ergun was elected as the general manager. Ergun was formerly the deputy general manager responsible for quotations in Borsa İstanbul. On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Erişah Arıcan is keeping her position as the chairperson of Borsa Istanbul, while Ahmed Ali Al-Hammadi joined the board of directors, and Işınsu Kestelli was elected as the independent board member. Other members of the board of directors include Korkmaz Ergun, Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Altun, and Metin Kıratlı while Yunus Arıncı, Prof. Dr. Cem Demiroğlu, and Tevfik Eraslan became independent board members as well.

Who Is Korkmaz Enes Ergun?

Ergun started his career at Borsa İstanbul in 1997 as soon as he completed his degree in Business Administration at Ankara University. He obtained a master's degree and a doctorate in economics from Marmara University. With his 24 years of experience in the stock exchange and capital markets, Ergun managed the public listings of many companies, the inspection of the companies traded, and their market activities.
